What is Opus Plasma® skin resurfacing?
Opus Plasma® skin resurfacing is a non-surgical procedure where tiny areas of skin are treated layer by layer with radiofrequency waves and plasma energy. This gently exfoliates damaged skin layers and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin which help to repair damaged skin and get rid of scars. Simply put, the device causes controlled damage to the skin, triggering a wound healing reaction and improving the overall skin quality.
We provide a guarantee on:
- The patient is seated in a comfortable chair.
- An anesthetic is applied to the skin. Then you need to wait 20–30 minutes.
- Our expert selects one of three attachments and the level of exposure to radiofrequency or plasma energy (depending on skin color).
- Our expert moves the tip of the Opus Plasma® attachment over the target areas of the skin (light contact, no pressure).
- Radiofrequency waves heat the dermis and destroy damaged or dead skin cells, affecting the deepest layers, while plasma energy creates heat and promotes the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.
Opus Plasma® helps to improve the skin appearance, eliminating the signs of aging as well as other defects such as dull tone and texture, sagging, crow’s feet, wrinkles, enlarged pores, stretch marks, age spots, and even acne scars – in less time and with less pain.
Contraindications
Although the use of Opus Plasma® has relatively few contraindications – compared to other therapeutic methods – the following may be considered as one of them:
Cardiac pacemaker
Pregnancy (especially in the first trimester)
Epilepsy
Thyroid diseases
Cancer tumors
Melasma
About Alma’s Opus Plasma®: How it differs from laser procedures and why it is better
Alma’s Opus Plasma® is the world’s first systemic skin resurfacing machine that uses fractional plasma. It is equipped with three types of attachments:
- Glide
Provides gentle and fast ablation of the entire face in 10–15 minutes. Can be used for the whole body.
- Focus
Guarantees gentle exposure with thermal coagulation to the delicate skin around the eyes.
- Colibri
0.7 mm thick attachment helps with ablation and thermal coagulation in hard-to-reach areas.
What advantages does it have over a traditional laser?
- It is a minimally invasive and safer procedure
You can improve the appearance of any part of your face – even around the eyes – without fear that in 5–6 years the skin will be dried out and thin. At the same time, the device penetrates twice as deep.
- It has a significant rejuvenating effect
It tightens the skin and makes it firmer, promoting the production of collagen and elastin at any age.
- There are no hard-to-reach places for this device
You can use it safely around the eyes – finally you can get rid of crow’s feet and fine lines – and on the neck where the skin is more sensitive and delicate.
- It takes less time
It takes up to 20 minutes for the entire face – even with hard-to-reach areas.
- Suitable for all skin types
Even swarthy skin (as opposed to laser). Find out more about laser treatment (IPL and BBL) for black skin.

FAQ
We recommend 3 sessions at 30-day intervals after each procedure. The first changes will be visible after 90 days, which is after the last procedure. Then the body will begin to produce its own collagen. The result can be expected 6 months after the first procedure.
Most patients are left with slight tan-like redness after the procedure. Unlike the laser, there is no downtime. You can wake up the next day, put on your makeup, and go to work.
Redness, irritation, and swelling disappear in 1–2 days. Skin peeling stops after 3–5 days. All side effects disappear within a week. We always give patients advice on how to take care of their skin and reduce discomfort during the rehabilitation period.
There is no pain thanks to the application of an anesthetic. The patient only feels the heat on the skin.
