What is KöR Teeth Whitening?
We provide a guarantee on:
Mouthguards made using individual impressions
Whitening gel with a complex patented formula
Desensitizer to make the procedure painless
Cooled down whitening gel system.
The technology was developed by Dr. Rod Kurthy. He devoted more than 30 years to the scientific study of various teeth-whitening methods and decided to create an innovative technology devoid of all their existing disadvantages.
How does KöR Teeth Whitening work?
Dental stains are an accumulation of pigment/dye molecules that have penetrated the enamel. The molecular chains must be broken to remove stains and change the color of the enamel.
The main ingredient of KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching technology is carbamide peroxide; it restores the tooth’s ability to absorb oxygen and penetrates deep into the tooth, breaking down large pigment/dye molecules to the smallest colorless particles and removing debris.
Four treatment options
Depending on the clinical picture, the doctor offers one of four options:
- KöR Home (two weeks).
Recommended for simple clinical cases.
- KöR-Night is a nighttime whitening with 16% carbamide peroxide
- KöR-Day is a daytime whitening with 9% hydrogen peroxide (for patients who do not want to wear mouthguards while sleeping).
The use of whitening mouthguards at night is much more effective!
- KöR Max (two weeks).
Combination of two-week at-home whitening with 16% KöR-Night carbamide peroxide and one session at the clinic with KöR 34% Dual-Activated Tri-Barrel Hydremide Gel.
- KöR Ultra (three to four weeks).
It is indicated in complicated cases, such as fluorosis or dark geriatric staining.
The doctor applies KöR 13% Dual-Activated/Tri-Barrel Hydremide® Peroxide Gel in the clinic. The patient then wears whitening mouthguards for 3 to 4 weeks while sleeping. At the end of treatment, the doctor applies KöR 34% Dual-Activated Tri-Barrel Hydremide® Peroxide Gel in the clinic.
- KöR Ultra-T (six to eight weeks).
It was developed to remove tetracycline dental stains.
It is done in three stages:
- Application of KöR 13% Dual-Activated, Tri-Barrel Hydremide® Peroxide Gel in the clinic
- The patient then wears whitening mouthguards for 6 to 8 weeks while sleeping
- Final application of KöR 34% Dual-Activated Tri-Barrel Hydremide® Peroxide Gel.

Taking impressions
KöR-Seal™ mouthguards are made from digital impressions. The doctor gives the patient a special gel and explains how to use it at home.
KöR-Seal™ mouthguards accurately simulate the shape of teeth, gum lines, sulci, etc. This eliminates the contact of the whitening gel with saliva, which impairs the effect of the active ingredient. Therefore, the whitening activity of KöR gel lasts up to 10 hours, while conventional whitening mouthguards last up to 40 minutes.

Wearing a mouthguard
The patient wears a mouthguard for 14 days while sleeping. The gel is inside, which eliminates the risk of it getting in the mouth.
The mouthguard is thin, and you almost can’t feel it in the mouth. It does not interfere with sleep at all.

KöR vs Zoom?
Let’s compare both technologies using several criteria.
Duration
Zoom technology allows you to whiten your teeth up to 8 tones in just one visit to the clinic (the procedure takes up to 1 hour).
KöR technology involves wearing mouthguards for two weeks at home and one or two visits to the clinic in the end.
Zoom whitening is the way to go if quick results are important.
FAQ
Yes, it is. It allows you to whiten your teeth by 16 shades or more. In comparison, Zoom whitens teeth by a maximum of 8 tones.
First of all, KöR gel contains no phosphoric acid, which increases tooth sensitivity.
Second, before putting on a mouthguard, a few drops of a unique solution are applied to the front surface of the teeth, which eliminates discomfort during whitening.
At room temperature, the chemicals in the gel begin to decompose (the higher the temperature, the faster the decomposition process). The hydrogen ions generated by this process increase the likelihood of painful tooth sensitivity during whitening.
KöR Whitening was the first company to develop a cooling technology for a whitening gel that protects it from high temperatures during storage or transportation. The gel is delivered to the clinic in a cooled form.
